My thoughts on...
The plot: A Storm of Swords really brought the action in comparison to the other two books. The book started out a bit slow, but keep reading and you'll be rewarded with the crazy events that unfold! The story was shocking, and towards the end I couldn't put it down!

The writing style: There were many new POV characters added to the storytelling in this book, which created a wider scope to see throughout the seven kingdoms. Martin likes to pull the reader in, then make them wait during the build up, for the very rewarding events that follow. The plot twists are completely unexpected, and you can never guess what will happen in the end. Even POV characters aren't safe with Martin's writing.

The pacing: Similar to what I said before, Martin's books aren't completely action packed all the time. There is quite a bit of world building, plotting, etc. Some parts are slower than others, true, butif you can make it through, you won't be let down.

The setting: As I previously mentioned, Martin knows how to create a fantasy world. The Seven Kingdoms seem so realistic, no matter how fantastical they really are. I get a medieval European feel when I'm reading this series.

The characters: The number of characters can be intimidating and confusing, but getting them straight is easier than you think. Each of the POV characters are so individual. You shouldn't have a problem telling who's who. As for the character development, I am loving all of the POV characters - Lannister's included. Tyrion is one of my favorites, actually!

The romance: Without spoiling anything, I'll say that I am shipping so many characters in this book together at the moment! In a world of arranged marriages, Martin crafts great forbidden romances!

Overall opinion: My favorite book of the series so far, A Storm of Swords was action packed, filled with climactic moments in every chapter! Martin has done it yet again with a shocking storyline!
