I read the first book in this series back in 2019 but was able to slip back into the world effortlessly. This book is much less plotty than the first book, the kind of book in a series that is more focused on developing character while the main plot happens slowly around it. I missed the Deucalion as the main setting, but I loved the school setting we got as a replacement and Morrigan's relationship with the 919. Morrigan and Jupiter's relationship remains wonderful and Cadence became my favourite character of the series. Hopefully it doesn't take me three years to read Hollowpox.
