Loved the short stories in the segment I received as an ARC. Looking forward to reading the full anthology.
Jennifer Cody - The Crow Kings Mate
Arlo is such a sweet soul who believes people think he’s weird as he feeds the crows that seem to follow him. He’s also crushing hard on the very sexy Professor Bloom. When Arlo’s whole world view is changed he just accepts it all gets his HEA with the Crow King. I loved the rambling internal monologues from Arlo that added so much to the story.
Grae Bryan - Fate’s Treasure
Mal (40) has never felt that he’s belonged or had a connection to another. He feels drawn to Oregon and moves to a remote cabin in the woods where his wonderfully named dog Bacon leads him to the home of his neighbour. Alistair is a dragon shifter who has waited centuries for his mate. His loneliness is overcome when Mal stumbles across his property and the bonding begins for the fated pair.
HL Day - Deader Than Dead
Necromancer John attempts to raise Bellamy from the dead but believes he’s unsuccessful. Circumstances bring these fated mates together again and there’s plenty of drama as they try to outrun and outwit the villains of the piece. With assistance from beyond the veil and the power of their bond, these two engaging characters overcome all obstacles and get their well deserved HEA.
Lisa Oliver - Words Not Necessary
I love the Magic Users of Greenford Trilogy where Rocky and Neo are briefly introduced. This prequel featuring them shows what a difficult life Neo has endured until he and Rocky cross paths. They become aware that they are not only magically compatible but also fated mates all whilst trying to solve a case.
Meghan Maslow - As The Raven Flies.
Set in the Charm City Chronicles world where there’s always some action/drama and a dash of angst this novella doesn’t disappoint. Raven shifter Abe and dire wolf Michael work together as bodyguards but when it comes to their mating things don’t start off very well. They get their well deserved HEA but not without some ups and downs along the way.
