I enjoyed reading this but was quite taken aback by just how hefty some of the subject matter is, I would highly recommend everyone check out the content warnings before digging into this!

The relationship between Shane and Eva is really tender and full of tension and emotion, but the stand out is by far Audre. Reading her parts, particularly her interactions with Shane, made me think this would make such a good TV/film adaptation.

I liked how we get Audre's and other characters' perspectives woven in without detracting from Shane and Eva's story. I found the constant pop culture references quite difficult to keep up with which was quite annoying, but generally I thought this was a good read.
