I love a good Nora Roberts and have been wanting to read this book since it came out. It begins comfy with a hint of suspicion something is going wrong and then plunges you into a dystopian world. The build up and descriptions of the horror, grief was well done. I stayed up late up every night reading because I had to know! As most Nora Roberts’ books goes there is of course fantasy elements with plenty of superpowers (loved it!!). However, the sentence structures throughout the book made me pause go back and read again a few times and realized it’s not me....the book is oddly written, a bit choppy. And wondered did someone other than Nora write this books because that writing style didn’t feel like her...will start Of Blood and Bone soon.
