» PLOT «
With a love for cooking, Emoni can't help but want to take her schools new culinary program with a trip abroad. But with financial problems and a young daughter, Emoni must decide whether she can balance her dreams with reality.

This book was very slice-of-life. Which basically means it was boring. And with the addition of characters I don't care about, this just wasn't for me.

» READABILITY «
This was a fairly quick read due to the audiobook, but if it were not for Buzzwordathon, I doubt I would've started or finished this book.

» CHARACTERS «
The characters in this book are fine, just not interesting. Since this is a contemporary, slice-of-life, there is no big bad or anything, just a classmate.

» WRITING «
The writing isn't bad, just nothing special.
