Charlotte has had a crush on Ledger, her best friend's older brother, for a long time. This is basically a childhood friends to lovers trope and I really liked it. They were so cute together and I loved how it was sort of "guy falls first." Ledger was so gone for Charlotte, and it was just so adorable how much he cared for her and loved her. They kept the relationship a secret because they knew her best friend might have an issue with it, but I did love the secrecy aspect of it. The small town vibes are always a hit. While not my favorite of the series, it was still pretty good.
