The Devil
by Ashley Jade
Holy fucking shit! What did I just read?! Review to be continued as soon as I can get to my laptop so I can properly type plug everything I need to say.
Okay it's been about 8 hours and I'm ready to review this bitch. First off this was such an unexpected ride. This was my first book by this author and I am officially obsessed.
There was so much going on. I didn't know who the bad guy was. I wasn't even sure if this was a "romance" book. There is sooo much fucked up depravity, lies, manipulation, and plot twists in this book I couldn't put it down. I need Shonda Rhimes to make this into a mini series.
Cain - Gave me Brock Turner vibes. His entitlement and selfishness was just infuriating. I'm sure everyone knows a Cain in real life.
Damian is such a wild card. He was my Jason Dean (Heathers) I even got Christian Slater sexy vibes during his high school chapters. If you are familiar with Penelope Douglas's Fire Night series, he's Damon Torrence with blue eyes. OMFG I wanted him to tie me up. He's bad but he's soo good at it.
Eden- Okay so I'm the mother of a 19 year old and am very familiar with how they think. A person with less experience with that age group probably thought there was massive communication gaps, dumb decisions, and may be annoyed by her blind trust and ability to be manipulated. They probably rolled their eyes and thought her behavior was unrealistic. Welp bitches, I'm here to tell you it's 110% believable and spot on for these young girls. My kid drove 5 hours to meet a sexy Asian she met on an app. I've seen her friends act like these grown ass men are infallible and believe every word they say. My heart hurt for Eden's inexperience in life and misplaced trust.
I implore everyone to read this duet expeditiously
