The Supernatural Investigations series (aka Amari) is honestly one of the best new middle grade series of recent years, and I thoroughly enjoyed this second book. It had me gripped. 

There were a few little things which ultimately prevented me from giving this the full five stars. Sometimes things happened which didn't quite make sense, or seemed underdeveloped. Still, this is a very strong book with great characters. The ending left me absolutely desperate for book three.
