It’s a world where monsters and monster hunters are fighting each other and not all monsters are evil and not all hunters are good. Former hunter Declan has been striving for a ‘normal’ life for 4 years but that all goes by the wayside when circumstances bring him and Lake together. Lake is full of sass and snark which makes people underestimate his intelligence. Only a handful are aware of his true nature beneath the human disguise but Declan’s instincts immediately tell him that there’s more to Lake.

So begins a wonderful adventure involving more monsters, action, mystery and intrigue. Lake also decides that Declan really should belong to him (Declan heartily disagrees) so an hilarious one sided romance dance begins, eventually morphing into a HFN with a touch of steam.

I loved every moment of this book and can’t wait for more in the series.
