I loved this book! As a standalone I think everything came together incredibly well. In some ways I could see some criticism that the ending was a bit rushed, but to me it fit right in with the vibe of an old gothic mystery. 

The characters were great, the twists were awesome, and it seemed as if all the questions that were seeded throughout the book were wrapped up in an incredibly satisfying way.

Absolutely a great read, I recommend!!
