I haven't read this author before, but I'm really enjoying some New Adult contemporary works right now so I picked out this one.

I liked how it started out with the rescuing of a drunk girl in a bar. I wish we all had that initial reaction to make sure someone who's had too much to drink is ok and make sure they get home safely. It also led to an interesting introduction for the two main characters. I also enjoyed how the story developed naturally and didn't feel too rushed or forced. In addition, the main characters were very well developed and you get a good background story for both of them. Both are broken and trying to mend.

Without getting into spoilers, I really liked the way the story worked out. The only thing I might have changed would be to see if Mia decided to keep in touch with her family after the events of the story.
