I loved almost all of this book. The story telling is excellent.  The premise of a heroine who unexpectedly discovers a penchant for magic is tried and true, but told in a new way. And I love that there isn’t too much world building to keep track of. 

I would have given this book 4 stars, but the open door scene 75% through the book was abrupt and unnecessary.
