Witches of East End
by Melissa de la Cruz
The initial plot of this book came across as interesting and I was intrigued as to where de la Cruz would take it. However, as the storyline progressed, I was underwhelmed by the character development and the intended plot twist near the end of the book (actually both big plot twists) rubbed me the wrong way.
The mash up between mythologies and real-world set up plus historical truths made me more annoyed rather than excited about the book and subsequently the series.
Though it wasn’t for me, it may be for you if you enjoyed de la Cruz’s Blue Blood series and aren’t annoyed by the mixing of mythologies from various places in the world.
