Astrophysics for People in a Hurry
by Neil deGrasse Tyson
I'm a big astrophysics enthusiast, but this book was a big miss for me. I didn't like the structure, the pacing, some chapters were a big wtf (chapter about elements talking mostly about their names? what?) and most importantly, I didn't like the author/narrator. He is a big drama queen: everything he describes has to be extraordinary and incredible and super duper cool (he even used "holy shit" once) and it shows not only in writing, but mostly in his narration. Every sentence he reads is presented as something big and important; but when the whole book is read that way, it gets annoying and tiring. I won't be reading anything else from the author any time soon, if ever, I guess.
