There's a few turns of phrase and allegories that were very powerful but most of the poems felt like filler material. I can see how it's quotable but not that relatable which as a Mexican I thought I would feel. Then again, this is a Chicano perspective so keep that in mind (?) -look at me, 2022 and already reinventing castes ;)
