I couldn't put this down. Lee illuminates the intermingled lives of her characters and their personal and socioeconomic struggles in a way that makes you want more of it. This intergenerational tale centering around Casey Han and all those around her offers up complex, real, relatable characters and relationships. Lee's infusion of culture and the push-pull relationship it can have was expertly written. There are many lines in this novel that made me stop and read them again before continuing. The title is a clever jab and what first made me interested in reading the book.

Can't wait to read more of her work.
