Tempt by Melanie Harlow
4.0

Melanie Harlow does not miss and this is the perfect example. If you're looking for the perfect blend of sweet, steamy and swoony, this is the book for you. The tropes you have in this book are small town, age gap, friends with benefits/one night stand, secret relationship and ex boyfriend's dad. Yes, you got that right! I was skeptical about the ex boyfriend's dad thing because that can be hit or miss, and some are done well while others are not. I thought this was done so well, and I was living for the angst and the secrets while somehow also loving the sweetness and the sincerity that came along too. This book also features a plus size main female character and as a plus size woman myself, I thought Melanie Harlow wrote Millie so well, both with her struggles and her triumps, as well as how Zach loved Millie, despite (and also because of) her size. Millie and Zach had such an undeniable chemistry! While their back and forth "we shouldn't, but we are going to anyways" could be repetitive at times, I really loved how drawn they were to each other despite all of the obstacles (both real and self inflicted) getting in the way. I really loved all the tidbits we get from the other characters from the other books and I'm really sasd to see the Cloverleigh Farms series come to an end.
