⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Author was a hockey player (could have played pro abroad) and hockey coach. AUTHENTICITY!
Ellie Montgomery - FMC (Assistant Coach)
Lincoln "Link" Scott - MMC (Head Coach)
CHILDHOOD RIVALS!
Jillian Arly's Green Bay Bobcats series is off to a phenomenal start. From the first page to last, readers are treated to well fleshed-out, realistic, and relatable characters with issues given the weights they deserve, all while giving us more hockey than the standard sports romance. It's so refreshing to find a book that portrays trauma and personal growth accurately, all while shining a light on women in professional sports.
"Behind the Bench" was an absolute joy to read, and I cannot wait for book 2! This is one read you're not going to want to miss!
