Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey
5.0

I had been waiting for this one and it really didn't disappoint. I would say that in some ways I enjoyed the first one in this duology better BUT I also really liked this one and where the epilogue took everyone so I'd have to read them again to decide which was my fave. Cut to a year or so after Piper and Brendan finally got together and took the small coastal town by storm, younger sister Hannah is back in town when the film she is working on takes her advice and decides to use the fishing village as its setting. She ends up staying with Brendan's best friend Fox, whom she has been texting ALLTHETIME since she left and has become friends with. Cue sexual tension, classic friends to lover trope issues, and my main complaint about the book: WAY too much inner diagloue from both MCs re:their insecurities.  I think that if they'd just talked to each other vs keeping it all inside, a lot of issues would have been nonexistent. Yes, without it the book would have been a lot shorter and I think their insecurities were both valid, so I do I see why Bailey included it, but the lengthy-ness wasn't my fave. That said, I loved the dual perspectives and specifically his pining for her.
