Another great book by C. J. Tudor. There were some loose ends that were forcefully explain and resolve at the end which made me drop it one star, but nonetheless a wild ride totally worth reading. Her writing continue to improve and she did create good characters even if some clichés were a bit too present, same could be said about the story, mostly the ending. Tudor is a big fan of Stephen King she never hide away from it and she might have the same kind of trouble with her ending then some often judge King about. So even if not as wonderful as I would have like it to be, my expecting were too high and I know it, it was a fun, entertaining true page-turning book that I would recommend.

I still think The Chalk Man was her best in term of story and would recommend starting there, but as a writer she continue improving and I'm very cuprous to see what she will present to us in her next book, which go out in February 2021 if I remember correctly!
