I think this is great tool to start a conversation about race with children. But it does have a little problem with maybe presenting the idea that race should be ignored, and we’re far from living in a society where it can be without being harmful. It’s also a little terrifying about taking off your skin, I know it’s figuratively, but I’m an adult, and children take things literally and I can see this either being seen as silly or disturbing to a child. Otherwise, I do think as long as it’s used right, it’s a decent start to a larger conversation.
