The Cabin at the End of the World
by Paul Tremblay
Wow, this was a fantastic story. Andrew, Eric and Wen are such a lovely family and endure a horrible tragedy in the hands of four dooms day-ers hell bent on completing a sacrifice to stop the end of the world. Most of the story took place in one room in remote cabin (in the woods) but Tremblay sinks his fangs in and doesn't let go until the very end. While not traditional "horror" (whatever that is), I felt the palpable horror of the small family as they fought for their lives. Now to watch the movie!
