Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
3.0

Readability: 3/5
Plot: 4/5
Recommend: Yes

Juliette's touch can kill. For the longest time, she has lived under The Reestablishment as a pawn, as a nobody. A reunion changes things. She no longer wants to live in fear, she wants to take control and fight for her freedom.

The beginning and end of this book were definitely 4 stars, as for the middle, I would say I hit a slump and that is why the Readability is only a 3.
I honestly felt like the relationship between Adam and Juliette is a little too perfect and cookie-cutter (in this context). Like, they just so happen to have been in love with each other for years, and then they just magically manage to reunite after Adam says some stuff.

I like the writing style of this book, specifically the strikethrough and repetition. It really does get a clearer sight into Juliette's head.

The highlight of this book has to be
Warner and Kenji. I love the antagonist nature in Warner and the comical nature in Kenji. They make the characters less vanilla and insignificant. We don't really get as much personality from any other character.

I was seriously doubting whether I would continue this series, but following the end of the book, I am going to give the next novella (Destroy Me) a try (and possibly the rest of the series).
