margaret rogerson can do no wrong !! this immediately became one of my favourite books. nathaniel and elizabeth had such good chemistry, i love their banter and nathanial calling her a terror and menace all the time. the magic system and worldbuilding was incredible, particularly the descriptions of the maleficts. i think this has secured margaret rogerson as a must-buy author for me, i'll read literally anything she writes.
