I loved this just as much as the first! I was already excited about getting to go on another mystery with Quiet and Rorick, but everything that happened?! AHH! I love how SL Prater still made this feel cozy while also absolutely terrifying me with the specters and the bigger mystery that was happening throughout the story. 

I loved how their relationship started at the beginning of the book and how we got to see them as a true couple throughout. I would reread this duet just for them alone!

The story itself though? Its just incredible. There are so many tiny moving parts between characters and the world that I was constantly trying to piece everything together alongside Quiet. I was also begging Rorick to just spill the beans too 😂 

Towards the end, I started worrying that everything wouldn't get wrapped up or would feel rushed, but it didn't. I just couldn't see how close all the pieces were to falling in place and I was SHOOK 😅 I was bawling at what I thought was the end then crying tears of joy by the time I read the last page of the book 🥹
