Cute, light, and full of rom-com tropes that should’ve hit harder than they did. I liked it more than Mr. Wrong Number, but it still didn’t quite deliver the emotional spark I was hoping for.

Hallie and Jack were fine, but I never really felt their connection, and the plot, while entertaining, didn’t leave a lasting impression. 

Great if you’re in the mood for something breezy—but I think Lynn Painter might not be my perfect author match (and that’s okay!).
