Manu is an illegal living in Miami, FL. Her mother is arrested by ICE and her grandmother is attacked. She must run from her father’s crime lord family. She follows a clue from a Z emblem and enters a school of magic. There she doesn’t have magic or does she?
I thought this was an interesting concept. Her periods are connected by magic and I wanted to know more about that. I thought this book was just okay and not super special. There were times I wished for more magic or action.
