flesh is a part of you and maybe the greater part, but meat is something you carry along like a knapsack.

this story didn’t work for me.

as seen in the quote above, it’s written in a specific way, very focused on almost over simplifying things to an extent that i started to get bored in a story that is marked as under 20 pages.

there was no capitalization or well done punctuation and i understand it’s a bit ironic for me to say that not doing those things in this review BUT this is not a published story!
also it had a few typos and errors which always bothers me especially since i walks think that if i as a dyslexic reader can find mistakes how many have to be there in actuality?

so that want a great start to the story for me.

now i am not saying all reader will feel like this!
i am sure some people find this story wonderful, but for me this was the typical vampire myths taken down into very basic terms and themes.
no sunlight, no mirror image, no real feelings, no smell, apparently no taste, no real emotions beside a survival instinct.

it is a bit creepy to have this very detached tone talking about killing people and drinking blood, surviving without typical humanity aspects. but i also think that there is a better way to be creepily detached without telling a story as this was and making it even creepier because it draws the reader in more or makes it at least easier to read.

honestly the only thing about this story i liked was the idea that if a vampire is as disconnected from everything beside the want to survive would they enjoy sex or would they even be able to have it? or would their bodies not be capable of that?
it’s something to think about especially since most vampir media is very sexualized.

overall okay story but not for me but if you like more traditional stories that are written in easy terms? go for it!
