so I never particularly cared about reading Shakespeare in any form. but then last year I saw the bridge theatre version of this play and I loved it so much. it was so funny and then I thought I should go read some Shakespeare and now here I am.
and while I knew it would be different from the play because they did switch Oberon and Titania's part it still confused me. and maybe I just didn't read it properly (I mean I could have read the german translation that could have helped) but I honestly did not understand why Oberon put that spell on Titania... that felt very wrong.
everything else was great
and I loved the fact that I knew the scene from the play I saw so I had actual voices in my head while reading and that felt amazing.
if Shakespeare had been cool and switched the Oberon and Titania parts I would have loved that even more
