The Modern Gentleman by Meghan Quinn
5.0

Oh my goodness, I have no idea where to start with this review. I mean I laughed so much in this book! Out loud, so much it made my dogs not even want to snuggle with me on the couch because I was laughing so hard. There are just so many moments in this story that I still giggle about as I write this just thinking about them. The shuffleboard incident and show and tell of the injury at the office soon after. The Boozy Brunch followed by the rainbow crotch lap dance! LOL! You have to read this if you want to laugh. And I know that might sound really crazy and out there, but June made Wes wait and earn it all. Her phone number, a kiss, all of it. It was such a slow build for the physical part of the relationship, courting if you will. I mean the “modern gentleman” in a way, is a throwback to the original “gentleman” we think of.

I love that this story was kind of like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but it even called itself out for that when Wes came up with the idea for the article he was doing that led to this whole wonderful romantic tale. Every time I think Meghan Quinn has written something so funny it can’t be topped, she does it even better in the next book. Pick this one up, even if you like a sweet romance, the actual physical bedroom scenes are the slow burn to get to, and not the whole story like you might think! I promise you’ll laugh your butt off!

Oh yeah, and while I’ve always been a huge boy band fan, I’ve attended every NKOTB concert in my hometown since I was in high school, thanks to this book, I downloaded my very first Jonas Brothers song.
