Archangel's Viper was not my favorite of the Guild Hunter books. Which was honestly kind of a bummer because I like Venom and Holly (aka Sorrow) and looked forward to their story. It started out strong but seemed to lose some of the momentum for me about halfway through. It felt like something was missing. I think it might have been the romance element. They had a kind of enemies-to-lovers type of thing happening, which is one of my favorite tropes, but the transition between the two was lacking in my opinion. It basically went from enemies to a spark of chemistry to full blown love and it was not a seamless evolution. Everything besides that was pretty solid and interesting and what I typically expect from a Guild Hunter novel so that helped even it out a bit.
