The Lost Metal
by Brandon Sanderson
Actual rating 4.75
Such a beautiful ending to era 2. Sanderson really knows how to end a Mistborn series that’s for sure!
I thought the plot was well paced giving the four main characters that we’ve grown to love and adore chances to shine in their own unique situations. We had extraordinary character growth for some here, and standout moments in the entire era for others.
I thought the heavy lore drop around Chapter 42 was really interesting. It felt like 8 books worth of revelations happening at once which was interesting.
I did find it interesting how we had some plot lines introduced right at the end of Era 2. Will be interesting to see how those are picked up or referenced going forward.
Lastly this man, who is a great detective at times, still never pieced together that his driver named Hoid shares the name with the beggar who gave him an important metal mind.. I mean how common is the name Hoid people????
