I had planned on waiting until closer to Christmas to read this because I know the author always manages to write a holiday book that is full of magic and the Christmas spirit and there’s something delightful about reading one of her books next to my Christmas tree. But then I couldn’t wait and needed a pick me up and this was so so cute and warm with so many heartwarming moments. Long story short I’m glad I didn’t wait! I loved that the premise is a Grandma telling her grandchildren a story set in the 1970s, the throwback to a simpler time was sweet. This was wholesome and pure and a great reminder about the true meaning of the season.
