A delightful series for middle grade readers. I am excited to see how this series plays out. Miss Lumley, the governess, is a new graduate from school and has been hired to take care of the wild children found in the woods beyond the Ashton Place mansion. While they appear wild, Miss Lumley' fondness of animals helps her reach out and teach these children how to behave like humans. The end of the story answers a few questions about these children and this mysterious place, but raises many more. I am eager to read the next one in the series!
