It's funny reading something so YA before YA was an actual thing. Parts of it are dated (like not having a houseline being weird, I guess that's still weird because that would mean you had no Wi-Fi now).
Also it uses the word 'Twilight' without fear (I miss the word twilight, it was my favourite time of day)., but goes along well with the paranormal romances it pre-date by 20 years. I strangely like it more than those books, maybe because it does it better. I can't help wondering if any of them directly or indirectly took from this book. Maybe an older sassy love interest closed off to love is just a universe thing. Still feel a bit odded out by it.

Also this has 13 chapters if anyone needs that for a challenge.
