I really, really reeeeeeeeally wanted to like this book. But straight up the author was not ready to write it. The research was lacking, the characters motivations were muddy, and there were too many convenient coincidences to make for a truly momentous plot. I’m honestly gutted because the idea is delightful. The execution just really bummed me out.
