This book is such a beautiful read. I initially chose it because I thought it was a graphic novel, but my surprise when I saw it was actually a novel with interspersed epistolary writing. Pleasantly surprised I should say!
I love how this book makes Res, the Mars Rover of our story, the main character and the whole story is told from his point of view; and I loved his development from naïve robot to a seasoned and incredibly resilient Mars Rover.
This story really does do a brilliant job of tackling things like inspiration, hope, grief, loss, and even acceptance. Even though this book is a very scientifically factual sci-fi, I think just about anyone could pick up this book and resonate with it.
It’s truly a beautiful and inspirational read and I could not recommend it more!
