This one dragged too much for me. The story itself is fine, and I'd say the plot was fairly predictable from the beginning. Unfortunately, there weren't were very few additions/surprises along the way that helped pace of the plot.
It just felt like I was waiting for the inevitable and so I wasn't invested or excited to pick the book in between sittings. All in all, it's a cute story and there are some great character (I loved Nelson and Mei), but it had so much potential and did not live up to it.

Graphic: Child death, Death
Moderate: Suicide
