It is always interesting to revisit a book that I originally read as a teenager. Once more I find one of my previously loved Dicken's novels, far, far too sentimental.
The plot relied heavily on coincidence, as all Dickens novels do. That was not a problem, the story being overly complicated was. I understand why so many adaptations choose to ignore one part of the story.
Oh and Oliver was far, far too sweet.
