The Hate U Give
by Angie Thomas
Powerful. Heartbreaking. Brutal. Real. This book is supposed to make you uncomfortable and open your eyes. And it does all of that. It took me a little bit to get into the story. I think there could’ve been more character development, but how relevant it is masks that. Part 3 to the end had me riveted. There were a few things that bothered me...but the overall story is good and I LOVED Starr’s family.
