The Christmas Wish
by Lindsey Kelk
funny
lighthearted
medium-paced
Strong character development:
Yes
A cute story that kept me laughing.
The characters in the beginning were hard to like but as you go through the story you realize not everyone is feeling the Christmas spirit they say they are.
The story focuses on Gwen as she's stuck in a time loop, living Christmas day over and over again. Trying to figure out what she needs to do and learn to finally see tomorrow. By her 7th Christmas day, I was really feeling for her, I wouldn't have been able to survive. But her timeloop didn't end at her 7th Christmas.
The ending was so sweet, finding out who had the sixpence, and a final Christmas wish.
I throughly enjoyed the flashforward to the next Christmas, seeing how everything turned out for everyone, was the big bow on top for me.
