I wanted to enjoy it but gave up at around 25%, might go back to it. Alister’s inner monologue was just a bit too “she’s a woman why is she good at stuff and why do men follow her” and “how does she not know who I am??” for me. I get that it’s pirates but it just seemed very misogynistic probably unintentionally.
