It's About Time: First Book in the Love Connections Series
by Anne Barbour
So technically I didn’t get this from the author herself. But one day one of the teachers at my school brought it to me and told me to look through it. I guess his wife’s grandmother wrote this and got it published this past summer. The beginning was intriguing enough that I decided I wanted to read the whole thing. As a fellow aspiring/beginning author myself, I wanted to give her a read and a review! Now this isn’t my usual type of romance, it didn’t quite have the steaminess I usually prefer. It was definitely more of a Christian story really. There was insta-love without a reason really, it reminded me of how the Twilight movie is when you haven’t read the books. I definitely got annoyed with the two of them for being so stubborn or not picking up on totally obvious clues between the two of them. Austen was definitely too sensitive on some points, and Mark was too quiet and stubborn and yeah. Those are the things that frustrated me about the characters. There was a lot there that could have been done to make it an even better story, and I think a couple of the characters are going to get another book, so for some people this will be a winner!
