Book safety, content warnings, and tropes down below.

This was exactly the kind of short and silly book I needed to read, I think. It was hot, made me laugh a couple of times and even managed to make me tear up a little.

I liked how there was a bit of role reversal going on, as the alpha is a giant teddy bear, loves kids and avoids confrontation like the plague. Meanwhile, the omega is a sassy spitfire who has protected the alpha emotionally and physically since the very first day they met in high school. It was properly sweet. Also a decent amount of pining without ripping your heart out. It was lighthearted.

The ending was mega fucking abrupt though. I don’t know what that was about, lol. It felt like it just ended mid-conversation or something. It didn’t need anything more, really, as I’m guessing they’re a part of the rest of the series, but it caught me off guard.

Archer strolled into the kitchen, cradling a Mountain Dew like it was our unborn child. I blinked, remembering something about caffeine in the baby books I'd been reading lately. "Should you have that?" Archer stopped in the middle of the kitchen, turning to look at me, eyebrow raised in challenge. "Are you gonna pry it out of my hands?" He asked dryly. I shook my head slowly, having the instinct to at least recognize danger. "Nope."

"If this is what I think it is," I called into the apartment, not sure where Avery was, but pretty positive he was around. "You better be ready to fold me in half and fuck me until I think my legs are gonna fall off." "Well," my brother said, standing frozen in the kitchen doorway. "I guess that's fair." He looked equally as disturbed as I felt.

I sighed, shaking my head. "We're gonna fuck our kids up, aren't we?" Evan shrugged, pushing his lips out to the side. "Just like our parents did us." "Yay. Family tradition."
