“If Monday were a color, she'd be red. Crisp, striking, vivid you couldn't miss her - a bull's-eye in the room, a crackling flame.
I saw so much red that it blinded me to any flags" -Claudia”

Monday's Not Coming is gut-wrenching. I read it in the span of two days. Tiffany Jackson is a great writer, that keeps the reader coming back. The characters, their feelings (fears, hope, loves, joy) and the overall portrayal was real. I love love love Claudia and her family dynamic; it's so refreshing to see a black family that loves and cares for each other in YA. The unfolding of the plot and the climax made my head spin. I felt all the frustration, fear and anger that Claudia felt while looking for Monday.
The spin on the book reminded me of When Life Gives You Mangos </spoiler>. The spin at the end kind of threw me off, and the time changes towards the end were also confusing for me.
