Thank you to Celadon Books and the author for the gifted copy of The Maidens. All opinions in this review are my own.
I had high expectations for The Maidens because it promised a secret society at Cambridge University that is connected to recent murders. Unfortunately, the members of the secret society, The Maidens, were hardly in the book! However, the short chapters allowed me to have that experience of a page-turning thriller because if the next chapter is only a few pages, I'll just read one more, right?
