Three years.
It has been three years since I have read and enjoyed a paranormal romance series. In those three years, I have started and stopped over a dozen series, but they just weren't for me. I thought that I had outgrown the genre and I had no plans of jumping back into it. I picked up the Lux series because it was the only series that was not checked out on my libraries' overdrive account. I wanted something that I could read while in Greece without a hassle and this was what turned up. WELL, BOY am I glad that I didn't delete these books earlier because I loved them.
I feel like I was transported to the days where I was a trashy fangirl (what am I talking about, I'm still a trashy fangirl, but about different things now). The days when I would read any moment I had a chance; when I would cry in the middle of world history because I was thinking about a fictional character's death. Those were the days where I could read without having to think about a job or my responsibilities. The days were reading was just reading, and it was fun. These books transported me back to that place and I'm grateful.
I thought that I was done with paranormal romance. I thought that I was done with series, but hey, I guess some things just sneak up on you. I can't wait to see what's going to sneak up on me next. I really enjoyed this series, and I'm so glad that I read it at this point in my life.
