This is a challenging book to rate. It was well written and for the story the author chose to tell, she told it in a compelling way with well developed characters, which is the only reason I'm not giving it just one star. However, I cannot view it as a "love story" and have major problems with it being marketing as such. The power differential between an adult and a child makes a relationship like theirs *never* okay, not one that I could ever root for.
