“Change is inevitable, dear crow. We must adapt. You cannot stop the tide, S.T. You must be more like the log that bobs along its surface.”
Hollow Kingdom was a witty read. I love consuming zombie social media, and seeing how the world ends from an animal perspective's was great fun. S.T. was a great narrator and it was interesting seeing domestic and wild animals coming together in a changing world. Some of the characters introduced were cut away too quickly for me, but it is a zombie novel. I feel Hollow Kingdom can be almost a social commentary for social media and technology in general, iykyk. The zombies in Hollow Kingdom have some typical zombie features but in other ways they are superhuman and as the story goes along you see why it is like that. I did want to know the reason why the apocalypse was happening but we NEVER got to see it (hated that). Hollow Kingdom was funny and lighter read for me.
